Since the beginning of the year, Yandex has paid 125 billion sums in taxes in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to Podrobno.uz, tax revenues from Yandex in Uzbekistan amounted to 125 billion soums over the first ten months of 2024, as reported by the press service of the Tax Committee.

Recently, a meeting took place between the head of the agency, Sherzod Kudbiyev, and the global CEO of Yandex, Daniil Shuleiko. The parties discussed the successful fiscalization in the passenger transport sector through taxi aggregators. It was also noted that transparent tax administration mechanisms significantly increased the expected revenue indicators.

"Initially, it was planned that this year the tax revenue would amount to 100 billion sums, however, over the past 10 months, 125 billion sums have actually been secured," the National Committee reported.

These results confirm the effectiveness of joint efforts and the importance of transparent taxation in the passenger transport sector. The parties will continue their collaboration to ensure market transparency and the "whitening" of other types of activities in the services sector, as stated in the report.
