Artikhodjaev emphasized that concerns regarding the potential dominance of foreign goods in the local market due to WTO membership are unfounded.
He also stated that joining the WTO does not mean that local entrepreneurs will be left without support, nor will businesses find themselves in a difficult situation. As an example, the entrepreneur cited the USA, which, despite its commitments to the WTO, continues to protect its manufacturers.
According to the businessman, WTO membership will enable Uzbekistan to access new export markets and enhance the quality of its products.
"We will gain the opportunity to supply our products to foreign markets. There are no losers here. The quality of goods will only improve, benefiting both the people and the state," he remarked.
It is worth noting that the businessman previously criticized restrictions on the import of household appliances into Uzbekistan, stating that protectionism harms business development and deprives companies of competitive advantages.
