ЕБРР поддерживает реализацию проекта по строительству высоковольтной линии электропередачи в Узбекистане.

The EBRD is funding the construction of a high-voltage power transmission line in Uzbekistan.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is enhancing the reliability and resilience of Uzbekistan's energy supply by funding the construction of a new high-voltage power transmission line that will connect the northwestern and southwestern regions of the country.

This project aims to eliminate bottlenecks in the energy grid and reduce the frequency of power outages, particularly during peak demand periods. It will also facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources in line with Uzbekistan's low-carbon energy sector development strategy, which has been developed with the support of the Bank.

The project is expected to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 4,143 tons per year and decrease annual electricity losses by 34,636 MWh.

To date, the EBRD has invested approximately 5.3 billion euros in 171 projects across Uzbekistan.
