From January to October 2024, the total volume of foreign currency transactions conducted by banks with individuals amounted to $20.9 billion, marking a 19% increase compared to the same period in 2023 ($3.3 billion). This information was provided by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the volume of foreign currency purchases by individuals increased by 2%, reaching $7.7 billion (compared to $7.6 billion in 2023).
As a result, the positive balance of currency transactions by individuals ($5.5 billion) became an additional source of foreign currency supply in Uzbekistan's domestic market.
