The National Investment Fund will transfer its assets to the globally renowned Franklin Templeton for management.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the National Investment Fund (NIF) of Uzbekistan has transferred the management of its subsidiary to Franklin Templeton, which will oversee shares in 18 state-owned companies and banks in the country. The management company is tasked with preparing these enterprises for listings on both local and international stock exchanges.

The trust management agreement has been signed with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the founder of the National Investment Fund.

Currently, the NIF's portfolio includes shares in Uzbekistan Airways, Uzbekistan Airports, Uzpost, "NavoiAzot", "Uzbektelecom", MKBank, "People's Bank", and other state enterprises and banks.

The appointed company is also required to implement transformation programs aimed at enhancing their investment attractiveness.

"After the implementation of these transformation programs, the shares of the Fund, as well as those of the enterprises and banks under its management, will be listed on local and international stock exchanges," the Ministry of Economy and Finance stated.

Note. The National Investment Fund was established in December of last year. Its main objectives are to increase the market value of its managed assets and attract international investors.

Franklin Templeton Asset Management is a subsidiary of the Singapore holding company Franklin Templeton Capital. It currently operates in more than 30 countries.
