В Узбекистане планируется увеличение зарплат для сотрудников хокимиятов.

Workers in Uzbekistan's hokimiyats are set to receive a salary increase.

In Uzbekistan, there are plans to increase the salaries of employees in local administrations as part of the presidential decree issued on December 20. This initiative aims to implement a new system to foster economic growth and enhance employment in the regions, while also elevating the role and accountability of local administrations in these processes.

The decree also introduces changes to the standard structure of the administrative apparatus of regional hokimiyats. The maximum number of management personnel will remain unchanged — from 61 to 70 units per hokimiyat, while the total number of management staff will amount to 763 units. Moreover, it is strictly prohibited to expand the staff of managers using budgetary and extrabudgetary funds of the hokimiyats.

In the Kashkadarya and Tashkent regions, the position of first deputy hokim will be established. In several hokimiyats, new positions will be created, including a sector focused on strengthening international cooperation with China and attracting investments, as well as advisor roles in agriculture and digitalization, along with a protocol department.

The Agency for Public Service Development, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Ministry of Justice have been tasked with implementing an evaluation system for local hokimiyats on the platform samaradorlik.uz within two months. The assessment will be conducted across ten key areas related to the development and implementation of socio-economic development programs for the regions.
