The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has joined the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB).
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has joined the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB). This membership will enable the bank to learn from the experiences of other countries and implement advanced international practices in the regulation and oversight of Islamic financial institutions.

According to the regulator, the activities of the IFSB are aimed at developing international standards for the regulation and supervision of Islamic financial institutions, implementing effective corporate governance mechanisms and risk management, as well as conducting research and enhancing human resource capabilities in this field, while assisting member organizations of the Council in these matters.
The Council was established in 2002, with its headquarters located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. To date, it comprises 188 members.
