The Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Ilkhom Makhkamov, held talks on December 3 with the chairman of the board of the Turkish holding company, Kamil Yanikmeroglu, as reported by the press service of the ministry.
The parties discussed the potential involvement of the Turkish company in the implementation of major infrastructure projects in our country based on public-private partnerships.
Yanikmeroglu emphasized that Rönesans Holding shows significant interest in participating in the construction project of the high-speed railway from Tashkent to Samarkand.
Information: Rönesans Holding is one of the largest construction and investment companies in Turkey and has branches in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, and several other countries.
It is worth noting that the construction of high-speed railway lines on the routes Tashkent – Samarkand and Samarkand – Navoi – Bukhara was announced by the President of Uzbekistan at the September meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank's managing directors in Samarkand.
Additionally, this summer, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan reached an agreement with the Turkish company Rönesans and other partners to create a multidisciplinary medical center in Samarkand worth 300 million dollars.
