The online ceremony featured the Director of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan, Behzod Musaev, and the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Akihiko Tanaka.
The Japan Career Portal has become JICA's first project in Central Asia, aimed at enhancing human capital through employment in Japan's industrial sector. The platform offers Uzbekistan citizens information about job opportunities, education, and life in Japan, and is available in Uzbek, Russian, and Japanese.
"I hope that this portal will become an important tool for the youth and professionals from Uzbekistan who wish to study and work in Japan," noted Akihiko Tanaka.
He also emphasized Japan's significant demand for labor in agriculture and elderly care.
In this regard, the platform also provides Japanese employers with information about the professional qualities of Uzbek specialists, fostering business cooperation. Currently, more than six thousand Uzbeks are temporarily working in Japan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the expansion of the "Highly Skilled Worker" program, increasing the number of Japanese language and professional training courses. Attention was also given to attracting leading employers and recruitment companies from Japan to collaborate with Uzbekistan.
It is worth noting that JICA will allocate a loan to Uzbekistan for the construction and equipping of a neurology and stroke medical center.
