Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, Japan will provide $215,000 to three medical centers in Uzbekistan for the purchase of equipment, reports a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, grants will be awarded to the Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Clinical Immunology, the Republican Perinatal Center, and the Bukhara branch of the Republican Center for Emergency Medical Assistance. The agreement was signed during a meeting between agency representatives and the head of the Japanese diplomatic mission, Takashi Hatori.

Additionally, this year, the Japanese company Sojitz will begin constructing a clinic with 800 beds in Samarkand as part of a public-private partnership agreement.

The meeting also addressed the expansion of training for Uzbek specialists at Japanese universities.

Health Minister Asilbek Khudayarov noted that the Japanese government continues to provide systematic support for the development of medicine in Uzbekistan, including the transfer of diagnostic equipment for the examination of citizens in remote areas of the country.
