The center noted that the project was initiated in response to requests from parents and the community who are concerned about the impact of media content on children and young people.

Previously, we reported that Uzbekistan is implementing a procedure for conducting "spiritual expertise" of media products created for television channels, radio stations, and social networks, particularly series, cartoons, films, and songs.
Domestic and foreign media products will be evaluated for compliance with spiritual and moral standards and the absence of propaganda promoting immorality and indecency.
At the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, they explained why the "Spiritual Expertise" project was initiated.

“It is aimed at preventing the spread of media products that may negatively influence the upbringing of children and harm the consciousness of the younger generation,” the statement said.

It is noted that this project was launched at the request and initiative of parents, intellectuals, and the broader public, who are concerned about the impact of media content on youth, especially preschool and school-age children.

“The 'Spiritual Expertise' project does not impose censorship on media products. The role of experts is to develop recommendations for media content creators, creative teams, and artistic councils,” the center emphasized.

At the same time, the freedom of creativity for mass media, journalists, creative figures, and bloggers will not be affected.
