The Ministry of Justice, after reviewing the previously submitted project on the implementation of "spiritual expertise," has established that the document contains mandatory legal norms affecting the rights and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities.

"According to current legislation, such legal acts from ministries and departments must be registered with the Ministry of Justice. Documents of this nature that have not undergone state registration cannot serve as a basis for the legal regulation of relevant social relations and do not entail legal consequences," the statement says.

As a result, the decision to introduce "spiritual expertise" for media products has been canceled and withdrawn by the authorities that adopted this document.
In the event of identifying media products that contradict current legislation, the Ministry of Justice recommended that specialists from the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment submit their analytical conclusions to the authorized bodies in the established manner, in the form of proposals to eliminate these discrepancies.
Previously, we reported that the resolution on the introduction of the procedure for conducting "spiritual expertise" of media products was adopted by the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, AIMK, the Ministry of Culture, the Cinematography Agency, the NTRC, and the National Media Association of Uzbekistan.
It was planned that specialists from the spiritual expertise group would examine media products produced domestically and abroad, broadcast on the territory of Uzbekistan, for compliance with state policy and spiritual and moral criteria. This project faced public criticism.
