Newcomer Abdulkodir Kusanov from Manchester City started in the match against Chelsea, making him the first Uzbek player to debut in the English Premier League.

In the third minute of the match, Chelsea forward Noni Madueke opened the scoring by capitalizing on a mistake by Abdulkodir Khasanov. Just a minute later, the 20-year-old player received a yellow card for disrupting an opponent's attack. However, Khasanov was unable to finish the match – he was substituted by John Stones in the 54th minute.

Just before halftime, in the 42nd minute, Josko Gvardiol equalized. In the 68th minute, Erling Haaland put the hosts ahead, taking advantage of a mistake by Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. Phil Foden sealed the match with a goal in the 87th minute.

After 22 matches played, Manchester City sits in fifth place in the EPL table, having accumulated 38 points. Chelsea, with the same number of games, is in fourth place with 40 points.

Abdulkodir Khasanov transferred to Manchester City from the French club Lens. The transfer cost the club 40 million euros, excluding bonuses.
