To determine the winner, a poll was conducted on the official Twitter page of the French championship, and ultimately, Abdukodir Khusanov received the highest number of votes, earning the title of the best young player in Ligue 1 for October. In this competition, he surpassed 21-year-old Marseille forward Jonathan Rowe and 19-year-old Lyon forward Malik Fofana.

Previously, the Uzbek defender from Lens was named the player of the month at his club.
