Abduqodir Khusainov has been named the best young player of October in the French championship.

The 20-year-old defender of the Uzbekistan national football team has won his first individual award in the French Ligue 1.

The footballer from Uzbekistan was named the best young player in the French championship for October. Last week, the official Ligue 1 website released the list of nominees for the best young player of the month, and Abdukodir Khusanov made it to the top three contenders.

To determine the winner, a poll was conducted on the official Twitter page of the French championship, and ultimately, Abdukodir Khusanov received the highest number of votes, earning the title of the best young player in Ligue 1 for October. In this competition, he surpassed 21-year-old Marseille forward Jonathan Rowe and 19-year-old Lyon forward Malik Fofana.

Previously, the Uzbek defender from Lens was named the player of the month at his club.
