Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the airports in Bukhara and Namangan have been handed over to private companies for management. This announcement was made by Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a meeting focused on the year's achievements in supporting entrepreneurship and plans for 2025.

It has also been reported that the number of private airlines in Uzbekistan has risen to 14. This year, they have imported 22 aircraft, including six cargo planes and 16 passenger jets.
The tenders for the management of the Andijan and Urgench airports are ongoing.
Let us recall that after the transfer of Samarkand airport to private management in 2022, the number of flights and passengers at this air hub increased fivefold.
