АГМК усиливает свои позиции: в Джизакской области началось строительство завода по производству извести в рамках крупного инвестиционного проекта.

AGMK is strengthening its position. In the Jizzakh region, construction has begun on a lime plant as part of a major investment project.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, a ceremonial event marking the commencement of construction for a new lime plant took place in the Farish district of the Jizzakh region on February 25. This facility will be a vital component of the extensive investment project by the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) aimed at developing the "Yoshlik I" deposit.

The event featured a traditional ceremony for the laying of a commemorative capsule, marking the launch of a new project. The ceremony was attended by the management of the plant, labor veterans, representatives from the regional hokimiat, and officials from the Chinese company Jiangsu Pengfei Group, which is the project's contractor.

Lime is a reagent needed in various technological processes. The new lime plant will be a crucial link in the production chain of AGMK. It will supply its products to copper concentrators No. 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as to the copper smelter and zinc plants, and the mining administrations in Angren, Chadak, and Handiz.

The plant's production capacity will reach 2,200 tons of product per day, or 737,000 tons annually. Raw materials for production will be sourced from the limestone deposits "Chimkurgon-1" and "Chimkurgon-2," located in the Farish district.

It is noteworthy that the "Yoshlik I" project is one of the largest investment initiatives in Uzbekistan's history, aimed at developing the country's copper cluster. Its implementation will create over 6,000 jobs, generate annual tax revenues of $300 million for the budget, and triple the income from the copper industry.

As part of this project, AGMK will develop a new quarry with a production capacity of 105 million tons of ore per year, build two additional copper concentrators alongside the existing ones, and modernize current facilities. The adoption of advanced technologies and best global practices will enable the plant to significantly increase production volumes and strengthen its position in the international market.

The construction of the new lime plant will not only enhance the production capabilities of the plant but also positively impact the socio-economic development of the region by creating new jobs and improving infrastructure. This initiative is part of AGMK's strategic development program for 2030, aimed at sustainable growth and innovative development of Uzbekistan's mining and metallurgy sector. Partner material
