The founders of the fund include "Asaka Bank," "Microcredit Bank," the NBU, "People's Bank," "Business Development Bank," "Turon Bank," and "Agrobank," each holding 14.28% ownership.
On his LinkedIn page, Azizbek Kurbonov confirmed that he has become the CEO of the venture fund United Ventures, established by "seven leading banks of Uzbekistan."
According to him, the fund's mission is to invest in promising local startups and enhance the entrepreneurship ecosystem through strategic financing, incubation, and acceleration programs.
Kurbonov also mentioned that he has stepped down as co-director of Sug'urta Bozor to focus on his work at United Ventures. He promised to present a detailed activity plan for the fund in the coming weeks and invited collaboration from the organizers of acceleration and incubation programs.
