Bukhara Oil Refinery is shifting to selling petroleum products through the exchange.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, starting in January, all types of petroleum products produced at the Bukhara Oil Refinery will be sold through the exchange under conditions of free competition. However, the issue of ensuring the population's access to gasoline remains under state control, reports a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.

The information service of "Uzbekneftegaz" reported that this measure came into effect on January 1.

The company's press service emphasized that practical work is currently underway in Uzbekistan to create conditions for effective competition in the market for goods and services, gradually reduce monopoly, eliminate elements of the distribution system, and ensure equal conditions for all economic entities in accessing material and technical resources.

The company also assured that the issue of supplying the population of Uzbekistan with gasoline is under state control, and all available resources have been mobilized for this purpose.

It is worth noting that on the first day of 2025, gasoline prices for AI-80 suddenly surged at some gas stations.
