The EBRD is focused on advancing programs for women's and youth entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Ravshan Usmanov, held online discussions with Hussein Ozhan, the Director for Central Asia at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and Andi Aratinasilar, the head of the bank's office in Tashkent, as reported by the news agency "Dunyo."

The meeting addressed issues related to the further expansion of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EBRD, including the financing of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the republic and the continued development of women's and youth entrepreneurship.

As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on the development of women's and youth entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan under the EBRD programs "Women in Business" and "Youth in Business," as well as on the continuation of cooperation in other areas.

It is noteworthy that the EBRD, in collaboration with Uzbekistan, has implemented 170 projects, with 58 percent of them focusing on the private sector.
