The Chinese side expressed gratitude for the attention and support given to the initiatives of the Export-Import Bank by the government of Uzbekistan, including assistance in the establishment of the first Regional Representative Office of the Bank. As noted, the office located in Tashkent coordinates the bank's activities in eight countries: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia.
Particular attention during the meeting was devoted to discussing prospective projects in key sectors of the economy, such as water management, telecommunications, hydropower, and transportation.
The parties also reached a consensus on further financial support on a non-sovereign basis for projects aimed at producing in-demand products across various industries in Uzbekistan.
To date, with the involvement of the Export-Import Bank of China, 51 projects have been financed for a total exceeding 3 billion dollars. These projects cover the fields of chemical industry, energy, transportation, information technology, agriculture, and water management, as well as supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in Uzbekistan.
