ESCAP: Investments in Uzbekistan have decreased by 49%.

The total amount of investments attracted to Uzbekistan in 2024 reached $4 billion, representing a 49% decrease compared to the previous year, according to a report by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

Kyrgyzstan has shown remarkable growth, attracting $2.1 billion, which is a 310% increase compared to 2023. The investment volume in Azerbaijan reached $1.2 billion (+1%), in Turkmenistan it was $339 million, in Georgia $126 million, and in Armenia $67 million.

The report highlights the growing interest of international companies in projects being implemented in the region. Special attention is given to areas related to digital technologies, innovations, and the development of green energy.

The document also emphasizes that the successful development of new investment directions requires not only the establishment of favorable policies but also comprehensive support for investors at all stages of project work, including the post-investment phase.
