Farukh Rustamov has been appointed as the head of "Uzkomnazorat."

In accordance with the presidential decree of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Farukh Shokhrukhovich Rustamov has been appointed as the new head of the Inspection for Control in the Field of Informatization and Telecommunications under the Ministry of Digital Technologies (“Uzkomnazorat”). This information was officially confirmed by the press service of the Ministry on January 18, 2025.

Farukh Rustamov takes over the position previously held by Azam Abdullayev, who led “Uzkomnazorat” since April 2022. Rustamov's appointment marks a change in the leadership of Uzbekistan's key regulator in the field of information technology and telecommunications. Details regarding the reasons for this personnel decision and the new head’s plans have not yet been disclosed.
