The Competition Committee assisted Siralish Meva from Samarkand in eliminating an unjustified electricity debt, as reported by the agency's press service.

A complaint was received by the regional office of the Committee regarding the actions of the "Regional Electric Networks" branch. The company disagreed with the billing of over 3 billion sums for electricity consumption.

The supervisory body deemed the claims of Siralish Meva to be justified, as stated in the report. It was mandated to recalculate the debt to resolve the issue in favor of the company.

Additionally, the Competition Committee provided legal clarifications for the staff of the local "RES" branch. The electricity network operator was warned to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.

In the fall of 2024, the Committee participated in resolving a dispute between "Hududgaz Jizzakh" and several enterprises from the Jizzakh region. As a result, an unjustified debt of 3.7 billion sums was written off.

Prior to this, in August, the business ombudsman's office supported a hotel in Bukhara in addressing an unjustified power outage that occurred several months earlier. The responsible employee of "RES" was held administratively accountable and fined.
