The insurance company GROSS has become the only company from Uzbekistan to receive the international award Gazet International Awards 2024, winning the Best Customer Service in Insurance Uzbekistan 2024. This recognition highlights the high level of service and the innovative approach of GROSS in the development of the insurance business.
Insurance Products Tailored to Customer Needs
Today, GROSS offers its clients 137 insurance products across various areas. The company's portfolio includes all types of mandatory insurance required by the legislation of Uzbekistan, as well as:
- professional and civil liability insurance;
- transport insurance — including automotive, special equipment, railway, and air transport;
- property insurance — both personal and commercial;
- financial risk insurance;
- personal insurance — health, travel, and accident coverage.
Clients can choose from travel, health, automotive, liability, property, and financial risk insurance policies with various additional options.
In spring 2024, GROSS was one of the first to launch a takaful-based insurance service in the market, and by summer, it expanded its range to 19 types of insurance, covering protection for vehicles, special equipment, property, cargo, and people’s health.
Multichannel Customer Service
The customer support center is available to policyholders every day. A direct call can be made from anywhere in Uzbekistan to the short number 1166. This provides direct contact with an operator, without waiting in line or going through an automated response system. A hotline is also available on Telegram — a popular communication channel in Uzbekistan.
The insurance company actively gathers feedback from clients through its Telegram channel and social media platforms — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and mapping services — Google, Yandex, 2Gis, which allows for quick responses to their inquiries and comments. This approach ensures more flexible and convenient interaction, improving service quality and the speed of issue resolution.
The assistance service supports travel policyholders in 160 countries.
The medical support team is available to receive calls and messages from GROSS policyholders every day and around the clock. Through its partnership program, GROSS clients have access to services from over 300 clinics and more than 500 pharmacies across Uzbekistan.
GROSS's own emergency commissioners service is ready to respond to accident sites 24/7. This rapid response to emergency situations significantly accelerates the claims settlement process. It allows for quality control of services, prevention of fraud, and guarantees compliance with internal standards.
Digitalization and Accessibility
GROSS has optimized the purchasing process so that policies can be issued at locations preferred by clients. The GROSS office network covers all regions of Uzbekistan, with 48 branches located in 35 cities. The company employs over 1500 insurance agents.
GROSS was one of the first in Uzbekistan to start issuing online policies for all types of B2C insurance. Today, GROSS insurance products are available on all accessible online platforms — in fintech, insurance product aggregators, mobile operator applications, financial marketplaces, driver apps, and partner company websites.
GROSS — "Leader in the Number of Positively Settled Claims"
GROSS has been awarded a special prize for "Leadership in the Number of Positively Settled Claims for Insurance Payments in Uzbekistan in 2023" from the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Marketing Association of Uzbekistan. In the past year, GROSS settled 56,696 insurance claims out of 57,022 submitted. This means that 99.4% of applicants received payments for insurance cases. Total payments exceeded 81 billion sums.
In 2024, the insurance company maintains its leading position in this indicator. According to the report from the Association of Professional Insurance Brokers (NAP) for the first nine months of the current year, GROSS settled 97.7% of incoming claims from policyholders. The results for the entire year of 2024 are yet to come — they will be announced in the first quarter of next year.
Social Contribution
GROSS traditionally adheres to a policy of corporate social responsibility. The company has supported international and national sporting events in chess, mini-football, equestrian sports, golf, and athletics.
In 2024, GROSS became the official insurance partner of the project Men O’zbekistonlikman — qonimda g’alaba. This project united all Uzbeks to support the country's football players, who are competing in the Olympics for the first time in history.
In 2023, GROSS launched a large-scale social project promoting safe road traffic, Xavfsiz Harakat / "Safe Road Traffic." The policy can cover vehicle repair costs, but unfortunately, it cannot restore people's health and lives. Therefore, the insurance company has taken on issues such as enhancing driving culture, organizing safe pedestrian crossings, and ensuring compliance with rules by all road traffic participants. Within the framework of the Xavfsiz Harakat project, numerous initiatives have been implemented:
- the release of reflective bags;
- rewarding drivers for accident-free driving;
- monitoring the streets of Tashkent for pedestrian convenience;
- supporting amateur athletes.
These steps are just the beginning. Future plans include creating a barrier-free urban environment, improving ecological conditions, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
