Acting Governor of the Syrdarya region, Erkinjon Turdimov, has identified education as a priority direction for the region's development. In his speech, he emphasized the need for comprehensive education for children, including the acquisition of professions and foreign languages.
Turdimov believes that the key to the future prosperity of the Syrdarya region lies in the active participation of parents in their children's educational process. He urged adults to take an interest in their children's school curriculum daily and to provide them with comprehensive support in their studies.
“We must ask our children: ‘Tell me what you were assigned in school.’ Only through the joint efforts of families and schools can we raise a generation capable of ensuring the prosperity of our region,” Turdimov noted.
The regional leader expressed his readiness to support proactive students and those eager for knowledge. He is convinced that educated youth, proficient in foreign languages, will be the driving force behind the development of the Syrdarya region. Turdimov particularly highlighted the importance of studying Russian, English, and other foreign languages, which, according to him, open doors to better educational institutions and well-paying jobs.
“Competent, educated young people who are proficient in foreign languages are our future. They will easily gain admission to any university and secure prestigious jobs. If we do not invest in our children’s education now, we will not achieve prosperity, and success will elude us. A thoughtful approach to education will ensure our children high salaries and better positions,” stated Erkinjon Turdimov.
Erkinjon Turdimov was appointed as the acting governor of the Syrdarya region at the end of January 2024 by a decree from the President of Uzbekistan. He replaced Akmaljon Makhmudaliyev, whose resignation was linked to serious shortcomings in attracting investments, developing agriculture, and other areas.
It is worth noting that earlier, the leader of the "Milliy Tiklanish" party, deputy Alisher Kadyrov, caused a stir on social media with his statement that “the people who use gas for heating their homes and cooking will not see prosperity.”
