For the first time, a block train has been dispatched from Uzbekistan to Brazil.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to Podrobno.uz, on Wednesday, December 11, the first block train carrying urea departed from the Tashkent First Dry Port Terminal, destined for Brazil. The train consists of 54 forty-foot containers, each filled with 28 tons of fertilizer.

The train route runs through the territories of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. In the port of Poti (Georgia), the containers will be transferred to a vessel that will transport them to the Brazilian port of Paranaguá.

The shipper of the cargo is Uzkimyoimpeks, serving as the sole agent for export-import operations in Uzbekistan's chemical industry.

The delivery time is 60–70 days: the rail journey to the port of Poti will take 20 days, while the sea leg from Poti to Paranaguá will take an additional 35–45 days.
