Experts from the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) announced this, referencing the results of their monthly analysis.
Tax Revenues
Tax revenues increased by 15% compared to the same period in 2023. This indicates a consistent improvement in business activity.
The highest growth in tax revenues was noted in Karakalpakstan (18.9%) and the Surkhandarya region (15.4%). Significant increases were also recorded in the Khorezm, Andijan, and Samarkand regions, with growths of 12.1%, 11.2%, and 11.1%, respectively.
An analysis of the structure of tax revenues showed an 18.2% increase in income tax. This reflects an increase in employment and household incomes. Property tax rose by 38.9%, while land tax increased by 26.3%.
Imports and Exports
Customs revenue grew by an average of 10.4%. This is attributed to an increase in the volume of imported products, including metals and metal products, electrical equipment and its components, food products, oil and petroleum products, pharmaceuticals, and natural gas.
The largest increase in customs revenues was observed in the Kashkadarya region (120%). Significant growth was also seen in the Syrdarya region (over 60%), while the Bukhara and Jizzakh regions experienced an approximate growth of 50%.
Since the beginning of the year, exports have increased by 8.6% compared to the same period last year. Notable increases in supplies were recorded in the Navoi (49.1%), Khorezm (38.1%), and Kashkadarya (26.9%) regions.
Loans and New Companies
The volume of loans issued by commercial banks during the analyzed period rose by 10.2%. The highest growth was noted in Tashkent (20.5%), Tashkent region (15.9%), Kashkadarya (13.9%), and Fergana (10.4%) regions.
During the study period, nearly 66.9 thousand new business entities were established. The largest number of companies was registered in Tashkent (14.1 thousand), Khorezm (5.9 thousand), Tashkent region (5.8 thousand), Samarkand (over 5.5 thousand), and Fergana (over 5.2 thousand) regions.
Trading on the Exchange
The number of transactions on the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange increased by 22.7%. Significant growth in exchange activity was recorded in Karakalpakstan (67.9%), Khorezm (66.7%), Surkhandarya (57.8%), Syrdarya (51.2%), Bukhara (47.1%), and Jizzakh (41.7%) regions.
The increase in transaction volumes in these areas is attributed to the rising sales of goods such as cotton fiber, petroleum products, building materials, cement, wheat, mineral fertilizers, seeds, vegetable oil, and others.
