The Committee for Religious Affairs has imposed a financial penalty on Zaytun turizm due to identified violations, as reported by the agency's press service.
In the Namangan region, the company Zaytun turizm was illegally offering pilgrimage organization services to citizens. The company was conducting these activities without the proper licensing.
Spot found what is presumed to be Zaytun turizm's account on the social network Instagram, where pilgrimage tours were advertised. Specifically, one of the posts was dated a month ago. However, currently, the publications are unavailable, as the platform reports, due to an incorrect link or page deletion, and it was not possible to find the Zaytun turizm account in search.
According to the committee's decision, a fine of 200 BRV (75 million sums) was imposed on the company Zaytun turizm.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved a list of companies authorized to conduct Umrah in November 2024. This list includes six firms from Tashkent, three from Namangan, and one each from Andijan, Margilan, and Urgench.
According to the new regulations, pilgrimage organizers must contribute $1 million to the "Ziyorat" fund and provide an agreement with a partner organization in Saudi Arabia. They bear the responsibility for providing medical assistance to pilgrims, ensuring their meals, accommodation in hotels, etc.
