Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a series of meetings with senior officials and leaders of major UAE companies in Abu Dhabi on January 14, as reported by the president's press service.

The discussions began with a meeting with the Minister of Investments and Executive Director of the ADQ holding, Muhammad Hasan Al Suwaidi. Leaders from AD Ports, DUCAB, Plenary Group, and Tadweer participated in the meeting, where they discussed accelerating the implementation of investment projects.

The initiatives cover areas such as rare earth metal extraction, railway development, creation of "dry" ports, and cable production. There are also plans to implement PPP projects in education and healthcare.

Steps were outlined to expand cooperation in infrastructure and urban development, energy, transportation and logistics, electrical engineering, etc. The topic of implementing innovative technologies across various sectors was also addressed.

Mirziyoyev also met with UAE Energy Minister Suhail Mohammed Al Mazrouei and the leadership of Masdar, TAQA, and Etihad Water & Electricity. The discussion focused on the development of "green" energy and improving water supply.

Five joint energy projects worth $1.5 billion were highlighted. In December, the first phase of the Masdar wind farm in the Navoi region commenced operations. Construction of several other facilities is ongoing.

The president supported plans to modernize thermal power plants and electrical grids, accelerate the construction of hydropower plants, solar and wind power stations, and battery systems. Additionally, opportunities for developing water supply systems and treatment facilities were discussed.

Following this, a meeting took place with the heads of Amea Power, the medical company M42, and the IFFCO Group holding. Joint projects in energy, healthcare, and the food industry were discussed with them.

The head of state noted the implementation of wind energy and petrochemical projects in collaboration with Amea. Uzbekistan also expressed interest in partnering with M42 in the genomic field, and with IFFCO in the production of ingredients for the food industry and household chemicals.
