A major logistics firm will acquire the government's stake in "Uztemiryulcontainer" for 200 billion sums.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to the Podrobno.uz Agency, the State Assets Management Agency of Uzbekistan has successfully concluded the open bidding process for the sale of a 35% state stake in "Uztemiryulcontainer." The winner of the bid was Cotton Logistics, a major logistics company that offered the highest price of 200 billion soums. The transaction has received approval from the State Privatization Commission.

The privatization consultant was Alkes Research, which organized a marketing campaign aimed at attracting potential investors from the CIS countries, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe.

During the first stage of the selection process, six investors expressed interest in acquiring shares of the enterprise. Of these, five candidates were allowed to proceed to the next stage and, after signing a non-disclosure agreement, gained access to financial, tax, legal, and environmental reports on the activities of "Uztemiryulcontainer."

The winning company of the auction plans to implement modern digital solutions and corporate management systems to reduce the enterprise's costs, lower transportation tariffs, and enhance Uzbekistan's transit potential.
