The Uzbekistan U-20 national team concluded its participation in the U-20 Asian Cup in China, falling to South Korea in the quarterfinals. The match was thrilling, as Farhod Nishonov's team made an incredible comeback but ultimately lost in a penalty shootout.

Trailing with a score of 1:3, the Uzbekistan football team equalized by scoring goals in the 90th and 90+4th minutes, taking the game into extra time. However, over the 30 minutes of overtime, neither team was able to score, and in the penalty shootout, the Korean goalkeeper secured victory for his team with his saves – 1:3.

As a result, Farhod Nishonov's team not only exited the tournament but also failed to secure a spot in the World Cup in Chile.

Saudi Arabia, Australia, Japan, and South Korea, who reached the semifinals, will represent Asia at the World Cup this fall.
