Shavkat Mirziyoyev has appointed the first deputy minister of employment and poverty reduction, as reported by the ministry's press service.

The new appointee is Marat Yuldashevich Dzhuraev. Prior to this, he held the position of head of the banking sector development, financial market, and financial technologies department in the Presidential Administration.

In September 2024, the head of state appointed Botir Zakhidov as the Minister of Employment, who previously served as the deputy chairman of the Central Bank and the hokim of the Shaykhantahur district of Tashkent. The former minister, Behzod Musaev, has taken over as the head of the Migration Agency.

In December, two individuals from the banking sector were appointed as deputies to the Minister of Employment. Zafar Azimov was previously the deputy chairman of the People's Bank, while Alisher Muratov led the "Kishlok Kurilish Bank" and served as deputy head after its transformation into the Business Development Bank.
