Botir Kudratkhodjaev possesses considerable experience in ensuring legality and public order. Before transitioning to the Ministry of Emergency Situations in November 2022, he oversaw military justice issues in his role as Deputy Attorney General.
Kudratkhodjaev's career path reflects a steady rise through the ranks. In 2020, he was appointed head of the Khorezm region prosecutor's office. From 2017, he led the Bureau of Enforcement under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He served as the prosecutor of Tashkent from 2016 to 2017. Between 2014 and 2016, he headed the prosecutor's office in the Surkhandarya region.
The change in the Minister of Emergency Situations occurred following the departure of Abdulla Hamidullayevich Kuldashev, who had been in charge of the agency since March 2022. There are no official comments regarding the reasons for this personnel change.
