The Ministry of Digital Technologies and the Asian Development Bank discussed the advancement of the digital economy and infrastructure development.

The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, held a meeting with Cleo Kawawaki, the head of the Market Development and Public-Private Partnership Office at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), along with Mirzo Iskandar Gulomov, the ADB representative in Uzbekistan.

Special attention during the negotiations was paid to the expansion of public-private partnership projects, strengthening cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and modernizing digital infrastructure.

The parties also discussed initiatives being implemented in the field of information technology, strategies for further development, tax incentives, and programs aimed at creating well-paying jobs for young professionals in the tech sector.

Additionally, opportunities for collaboration in supporting IT education, developing startup initiatives, and expanding digital services across the country were considered.

A presentation of projects developed by Uzinfocom, the unified integrator of digital technologies, was conducted for ADB representatives. It was noted that these projects are crucial for accelerating the digital transformation of Uzbekistan.
