МОК временно признал World Boxing как международную федерацию бокса.

The IOC has temporarily recognized World Boxing as the international boxing federation.

The Executive Council of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has granted provisional recognition to the World Boxing organization as the international federation overseeing boxing worldwide. This decision was made during a meeting held in a remote format.

World Boxing, which includes 78 national federations from five continents and four continental confederations, has demonstrated compliance with key criteria. According to the provided data, 62% of boxers and 58% of medalists from the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris represent national federations that are part of World Boxing. The organization also implements integrity measures that will be in place at the Paris Games and has gained membership in the Association of International Sports Federations (AIMS).

In terms of governance, World Boxing has established a framework and documentation to ensure transparency and adherence to standards, including a Code of Ethics, an anti-corruption policy, and mechanisms for managing conflicts of interest. The organization has also provided assurances regarding revenue based on long-term commercial agreements and recognized the jurisdiction of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Furthermore, World Boxing has achieved signatory status to the World Anti-Doping Code and has fully executed a contract with the International Testing Agency (ITA).

It is worth noting that the IOC excluded the International Boxing Association (IBA), of which Uzbekistan is a member, from the Olympic "family" due to issues related to finances, governance, and officiating. According to the IOC, the head Umar Kremlёв, who took charge of the IBA in 2020, has not been able to improve the situation.

To participate in the Olympics, World Boxing was established, comprising national teams of amateur boxing federations dissatisfied with Kremlёв's management. The organization's stated goal is to "preserve the Olympic future of amateur boxing."

Uzbekistan joined World Boxing at the beginning of November entered World Boxing.
