Over the past week, the sales volume of AI-80 gasoline at the commodity exchange (UzRTSB) has quadrupled, according to data from the trading platform.
As a result of the trading session on December 13, the exchange price for AI-80 gasoline was 9.32 million sums per ton, decreasing by 0.4% in a day. The total fuel sales reached 7.94 thousand tons, which is 3.68 times higher than on December 5. The day before, gasoline sales on the exchange exceeded 8.11 thousand tons.
Since the end of last week, the sales volume of AI-80 gasoline has started to rise rapidly. On December 6, 4.18 thousand tons were sold on the exchange, and on December 10, 4.22 thousand tons. However, despite the increase in fuel supply, the price of gasoline remains virtually unchanged.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy and "Uzbekneftegaz" report that the daily supply volume of AI-92 gasoline has been increased to 4,000 tons. Nevertheless, only 321 tons of fuel were sold on Friday. The press service of the Ministry of Energy confirmed that 4,000 tons are being offered on the exchange.
On December 9, the Ministry of Energy announced the introduction of temporary short-term restrictions on the operation of gas stations (AGNS). Due to the cold weather, gas consumption has sharply increased, causing a drop in pipeline pressure.
Furthermore, to provide motorists with additional fuel, the sales volumes of gasoline at the commodity exchange will double. The Ministry of Energy emphasized the possibility of further increasing the gasoline supply volumes based on demand and supply.
In November, the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Rights imposed a price growth limit on AI-80 gasoline (starting from November 13) and propane (starting from November 6). The price ceiling for fuel is set at 5% above the seller's initial cost, while for liquefied gas it is 20%. Considering the imposed limit, the maximum price per ton of gasoline produced by the Bukhara Oil Refinery (BNPZ) is 9,377,555.25 sums.
Previously, Spot reported that the exchange price of propane dropped by almost 7% in a day, falling below 6.9 million sums per ton.
