A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the Director of the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Behzod Musaev, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullaev, held a meeting with representatives of the government of Saint Petersburg and the Association for the Promotion of International Labor Migration. This was reported by the news agency "Dunyo."

During the visit, constructive negotiations were held with Deputy Governor of Saint Petersburg Vladimir Knyagin, focusing on issues of collaboration in the field of labor migration. An important outcome of the meeting was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Association for the Promotion of International Labor Migration and the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This agreement outlines the interaction between the parties in recruiting and attracting citizens of Uzbekistan for temporary employment in the Russian Federation. Thus, more Uzbeks will be able to work in Saint Petersburg.

Additionally, the meeting addressed matters related to the employment of Uzbeks, their social adaptation in Saint Petersburg, as well as the implementation of the "Electronic Card for Labor Migrants" project, which is supported by the Government of Saint Petersburg.

As part of the visit, the Uzbek delegation also visited the "Severny" migration center, where they learned about the process for foreign citizens to submit documents for legalizing their stay in Russia. Behzod Musaev, the head of the delegation, personally interacted with fellow citizens to understand the challenges they face during their migration in Saint Petersburg.
