Stockholm has become the destination for the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom of Sweden. This important position has been taken by the experienced diplomat Rahmatulla Nurimbetov, who has arrived in the Swedish capital.
The biography of the new ambassador is impressive: prior to his appointment to the diplomatic post in Stockholm, Mr. Nurimbetov served as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. His responsibilities were quite extensive, reflecting the high level of trust placed in him by the country's leadership.
Rahmatulla Nurimbetov's diplomatic experience extends beyond his work at the ministry. From 2018 to 2024, he effectively worked as the National Coordinator of Uzbekistan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), playing a significant role in developing relations between the republic and this influential international organization.
In addition to his practical experience, Mr. Nurimbetov possesses an impressive academic background. He holds a doctoral degree in political science, indicating his deep understanding of international processes and political dynamics.
