Ulugbek Lapasov has taken on the role of the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Cuba. Previously, he served as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Nations.

Lapasov presented his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro.

Lapasov's appointment as ambassador to Cuba underscores the significance that Uzbekistan places on developing bilateral relations with this Latin American country. It is anticipated that the diplomat will continue efforts to strengthen cooperation across various sectors, including economics, trade, culture, and education.
