The Central Election Commission has announced the preliminary results of the elections for the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and local councils.
More than 15,027,529 voters participated in the voting across the republic. A total of 140,388 people voted from abroad.
According to the voting results, the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan emerged victorious, securing 34.75% of the votes. This indicates that the party has gained significant representation in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local councils of deputies.
The distribution of votes among political parties is as follows:
• Democratic Party "Milliy Tiklanish": 18.82% (2,812,493 voters);
• Ecological Party of Uzbekistan: 13.12% (1,960,764 voters);
• People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan: 17.11% (2,558,016 voters);
• Social Democratic Party "Adolat": 16.20% (2,420,857 voters).
UzLiDeP holds 64 seats in parliament, followed by Milliy Tiklanish with 29 seats, Adolat with 21 seats, and NDPU with 20 seats. The Ecological Party has the least number of seats, with a total of 16 deputies.
For the first time in Uzbekistan's history, the elections were conducted using a mixed electoral system, allowing for a more comprehensive reflection of citizens' political preferences. The high voter turnout indicates a growing political engagement among the population.
