The Ambassador of Uzbekistan met with the Chairman of the State Bank of Pakistan to discuss promising areas for collaboration.

The head of the State Bank emphasized that transactions with foreign banks and countries are conducted freely. He recommended that Uzbek banks wishing to operate in Pakistan first establish a representative office and then convert it into a branch.

Information was also provided about the barter system created with foreign countries and the principles governing its operation. To enhance interbank transactions between the two countries and to establish modern banking services, the chairman invited a delegation of representatives from Uzbek banks to visit Pakistan.
