In the first nine months of this year, sales by Uzbek entrepreneurs on Wildberries surged by 87 times year-on-year. This was reported to Spot by the marketplace's press service.

The most popular domestically produced items among buyers on the platform include clothing and home textiles: sales of T-shirts (up 40% year-on-year), bath towels (+35%), pajamas (+40%), long-sleeves (+49%), sports suits (+34%), and bed linen (+112%).

The highest demand for textile products from Uzbekistan comes from Russia. From January to September, clothing sales increased by 66% in monetary terms, while home textiles rose by 75%.

Additionally, sales of Uzbek goods in Belarus grew by 124%, in Kazakhstan by 140%, in Kyrgyzstan by 192%, and in Armenia by 23%.

Sales of Uzbek products also increased in Russia (+78%), Belarus (+105%), Kazakhstan (+165%), and Kyrgyzstan (+285%). The most purchases of domestic dishes and kitchenware are made by residents of Kazakhstan (+42%) and Kyrgyzstan (+100%).

What Uzbeks Buy on Wildberries

Among the fastest-growing categories, the leaders are:

  • clothing (+95% year-on-year);
  • health (+80%);
  • footwear (+61%);
  • tableware and kitchenware (+59%);
  • accessories (+49%);
  • books and discs (+47%);
  • cosmetics and perfumes (+44%);
  • toys (+38%);
  • household appliances (+35%);
  • food products (+16%).

The top 10 products purchased by Uzbeks on the platform include: tea, with sales increasing 25.5 times year-on-year, food and plant extracts (+323%), wellness cosmetics (+264%), brooches (+212%), postcards (+197%), long-sleeves (+174%), perfumes (+160%), suits (+157%), dresses (+154%), and home fragrance (+140%).

Wildberries announced new conditions for future owners of order pickup points. The space requirement has been reduced from 70 to 30 square meters, and a one-time payment of 28 million sums is provided for pickup points with a turnover exceeding 82 million sums.

“Currently, there are over 2,600 promising zones for opening new pickup points in cities such as Tashkent, Nukus, Margilan, Jizzakh, as well as Fergana, Urgench, Angren, and Navoi,” the marketplace shared.

Earlier, Spot reported that Ozon plans to open more than 1,500 pickup points in Uzbekistan by 2027.
