As previously reported by Spot, the Ministry of Energy has implemented temporary restrictions on the operation of automotive gas filling compressor stations.

To provide motorists with additional fuel, the volumes of gasoline sold on the commodity exchange (UzRTSB) are being doubled. The press service of the Ministry of Energy emphasized that there are sufficient fuel reserves in all regions.

“Depending on supply and demand, it is possible to further increase the volumes of automotive gasoline available at exchange trading,” the ministry noted.

The Ministry of Energy also urged owners of private gas stations not to engage in artificial price hikes and to supply quality fuel in the required quantities. Working groups on the ground are conducting monitoring activities, the agency stated.

Earlier, Spot reported that Russia lifted restrictions on gasoline exports for petroleum product producers.
