On January 20, Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the presentation by the Audit Chamber regarding the outcomes of work conducted in 2024 and the main objectives for 2025.
The process of digital transformation within the agency continues in Uzbekistan: an automated information system called "Remote Audit" has been implemented, integrating 34 government agencies.
As a result, in 2024, the Audit Chamber secured additional budget revenues amounting to 3.7 trillion sums through "new sources." Additionally, inefficient expenditures by ministries and agencies were optimized by 9.2 trillion sums, and financial discrepancies amounting to 2.3 trillion sums were prevented.
In the area of public procurement, deficiencies amounting to 4.5 trillion sums were identified and rectified.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that systematic work in this direction must continue into 2025. For this purpose, databases from 110 ministries and agencies will be integrated into the "Remote Audit" system of the Audit Chamber, allowing for comprehensive monitoring of budget expenditures totaling 480 trillion sums this year.
A constant task remains the identification of additional sources of budget revenue, the prevention of financial and other risks, and monitoring the financial activities of enterprises with state involvement is also of significant importance.
In 2025, measures are planned to ensure the completeness of revenue collection of 309 trillion sums into the budget. Furthermore, the practice of auditing projects funded by international financial institutions according to international standards will commence.
The President highlighted the necessity of strict adherence to financial discipline and cost-saving measures across all government agencies.
