Сенат утвердил закон, запрещающий предоставление кредитов без согласия заемщиков.

The Senate has approved a law prohibiting loans without the knowledge of citizens.

The Senate of the Oliy Majlis has approved the law "On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Credit Information Exchange." This legislation aims to enhance the security of credit transactions and combat fraud, according to a statement from the Senate's press service.

The law aims to prevent instances of loans being issued without the knowledge of citizens and the fraudulent appropriation of funds.

It also outlines the rights and responsibilities of citizens when interacting with credit bureaus, including submitting requests for prohibitions, obtaining information about their status in the registry, and understanding the applicable sanctions.

The adopted amendments will enable citizens to independently block the possibility of loans being taken out in their name, which will serve as an effective safeguard against financial fraud.
