The General Prosecutor's Office has uncovered another illegal mining farm in the Bukhara region, as reported by the agency's press service.

The law enforcement authorities discovered an illegal mining farm in the Gijduvan district during an inspection of an uninhabited building owned by a local resident. A total of 22 Antminer L3+ devices were used for cryptocurrency mining.

According to preliminary data, the illegal mining operation consumed electricity worth 2.1 billion sums. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this offense under paragraph "a" of part 4 of article 169 of the Criminal Code (theft in especially large amounts).

Additionally, during the inspection of the building, 4 Whatspower P21 devices were found and seized in accordance with the established procedure. These devices had been disconnected from the power grid, along with 28 malfunctioning Antminer L3+ devices.

The largest mining farm discovered in 2024 was found in the Syrdarya region in April. It consisted of 107 cryptocurrency mining devices and had consumed electricity worth 34.3 billion sums over two years.

In December, "Uzenergoinspektsiya" found a "gray" mining farm in the Samarkand region that had consumed energy worth $2.2 million. The cryptocurrency was mined using 89 devices located in the basement of a family business.

In 2024, "Uzenergoinspektsiya" identified gas and electricity theft amounting to 1.4 trillion sums. Licenses were revoked from 51 gas filling stations for violations, and 91 gray mining farms were also discovered.
