Шавкат Мирзиеёв заявил о намерениях развивать жилую, промышленную и туристическую инфраструктуру в Ташкентской области.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced plans to enhance residential, industrial, and tourism infrastructure in the Tashkent region.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the capital region will see the construction of apartment buildings, an industrial park, and new sanatoriums aimed at both local and foreign tourists, as reported by a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

Today, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting to discuss the current development of the Tashkent region, during which he thoroughly analyzed the socio-economic results of the area and highlighted additional opportunities.

As a result, the potential to attract an additional 13 billion dollars in investments, create 500 thousand jobs, and generate 3.5 trillion sums for the budget has been identified. To turn these opportunities into results, separate decisions from the khokimiyat will be made for each of the 22 districts and cities in the region.

The head of state noted that entrepreneurs from the capital are interested in expanding their operations in the Tashkent region due to the proximity of infrastructure, low land costs, and a desire to create jobs for local residents. This means that the region must develop in harmony with the capital's districts.

To achieve this, an industrial technopark will be established on 97 hectares in the neighborhoods of "Karasaray" and "Khasanboy Guzari," along with high value-added projects totaling 350 million dollars. Additionally, an eco-park, water park, shopping complex, hotel, and logistics center will be built on 107 hectares, and residential buildings with 35 thousand apartments will be constructed on another 100 hectares.

"The Tashkent region should become the main base for housing construction for the residents of the area," the president emphasized.

Furthermore, the untapped tourism potential of the region was noted. Currently, 44 thousand tourists are arriving from Kazakhstan through the Tashkent region, including 2-2.5 thousand foreigners. In this regard, five more sanatorium sites will be auctioned on Shifobakhsh Suvlar Street in the Zangiatan district. A master plan will be developed to expand the street, which will include large shopping, sports, and entertainment centers, as well as multi-story residential buildings.

The president called on capital entrepreneurs to develop their activities in the region on sites with suspended construction that have not been sold for a long time. These will be offered on an installment plan, provided that 50% of the jobs are filled by local residents from needy families.
