Media: Authorities found $3 million in cash in the home of an Uzbek official.

The former deputy hokim of the Andijan region has been detained. According to media reports , Botir Khamroev, the former deputy hokim responsible for investment issues, has been arrested.

A search was conducted at the ex-official's home. He is suspected of embezzling budget funds and abusing his official position.

Reports also indicate that during the search of the former deputy hokim's residence, 3 million US dollars were discovered. Currently, no further details about the case have been clarified.
