Стало известно, что ждет проекты в Узбекистане после завершения финансирования от USAID.

It has been revealed what will happen to projects in Uzbekistan following the cessation of USAID funding.

CNN reported that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump significantly restricted the allocation of funds through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

CNN has reported that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has significantly restricted funding through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Court documents indicate the cancellation of approximately 5,800 grants. Only about 500 grants will continue, with a total maximum amount of around $57 billion.

In addition to USAID grants, funding for roughly 4,100 U.S. government grants has been halted. Support will remain for about 2,700 government grants.

This news has caused panic among various public figures and organizations actively working in Uzbekistan. Otabek Khusanov, head of the Public Fund for Support of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations and Other Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis, made a statement aimed at alleviating public concern.

Khusanov assured that Uzbek non-governmental organizations and recipients of foreign grants will not face financial difficulties. He emphasized the fund's readiness to provide comprehensive support and favorable conditions for the continuation of project activities.

“As in the past, present, and future, we are ready to fully support and provide all necessary conditions and opportunities for the uninterrupted implementation of projects,” Khusanov noted.

He also added that in the event of difficulties related to foreign grants in 2025, the fund is prepared to develop additional programs for their support. The head of the fund urged NGOs to actively participate in competitions for government grants and state social orders.
