In September of this year, 772.4 thousand people were officially employed in the industrial sector.
The salaries of workers in this sector vary widely: nearly seven thousand employees received wages of up to 262,500 sums in September (less than 25% of the minimum wage, which was 1,050,000 sums in September). At the same time, 425 individuals earned salaries exceeding 100 million sums each.
The average salary for an employee in the industrial sector amounts to 5 million sums.
Regarding salaries between 3 to 10 million sums, this range was recorded for 336 thousand employees in September, while 287.8 thousand individuals earned less than 3 million sums.
When examining the salaries of industrial workers by region, the highest earnings in the republic were registered in the Navoi region, averaging 8.9 million sums.
Following that are Tashkent and Tashkent region, with averages of 5.8 and 5.1 million sums respectively, as well as Andijan region at 4.6 million sums and Karakalpakstan at 4.5 million sums.
The lowest salaries in the country are received by industrial workers in Khorezm, at 2.5 million sums, and Namangan region, at 2.3 million sums.
It is worth noting that in October, the Statistics Agency calculated how average salaries have increased in Uzbekistan.
